Car fire shuts down lanes of I-24 near Harding Place

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A car caught fire Monday morning on Interstate 24 not far from Harding Place.

The accident happened in the westbound lanes around 8 a.m. near mile marker 55.

There is no word on injuries at this time.

Two right lanes of traffic were shut down as crews worked to clear the scene.

Westbound lanes were affected with rubbernecking delays.

The roadway reopened just before 8 a.m., but traffic remained slow through the area.
