Sounds win 6th straight over Iowa

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Nashville Sounds continued their hot streak Sunday, downing the Iowa Cubs 5-1 at Greer Stadium.

Sean Halton led the way going three for four with two runs batted in. Halton got the scoring started with an RBI single in the first inning.

Nashville plated three more runs in the fifth inning. Taylor Green started the scoring in the fifth with his third home run of the season. Irvin Falu added another HR in the seventh to complete the scoring.

On the mound Ariel Pena picked up his first win of the season. Pena went six innings and gave up just one run while striking out six.

The Sounds have eight of their last nine overall and are back home Monday for noon start against Iowa.
