NASHVILLE, Tenn. - More than 5,000 people took part in the 3rd Annual Mayor’s Field Day at LP Field Saturday.

This was a record number for the event which encourages families to be healthy.

Mayor Dean started the event by leading a one-mile walk around the stadium.

“We have been working aggressively on improving the health of our residents for a while now with fitness challenges, and a community Field Day has been an important part of that commitment,” Mayor Dean said.

He continued, “Field Day is a great way to show our citizens, particularly our young people that the key to good health is being physically active, and you can do that in a lot of fun ways.”
