A teen who was riding a bike was critically injured after being struck by a van in east Nashville. It happened around 4:30 p.m. on Hancock and Joseph Avenue.
Authorities told News 2 the 16-year-old failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit by a van that had the right of way.
The teen was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
Officials said no alcohol was involved in the accident and no charges have been filed.
