FRANKLIN, Tenn. - An Arizona man was indicted for a horse theft that took place in Franklin in 2008.

Raymond Siggins, 46, was charged with one count of theft over $10,000.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, special agents started investigating Siggins on August 20, 2013.

During the investigation, authorities found that Siggins sold a horse named SNW Joe Fox to Franklin resident Stewart Campbell.

Campbell gave Siggins $21,000 for the horse; however, after receiving the check, Siggins later told him he never purchased the horse.

Siggins offered to find Campbell a replacement, but it was never done to Campbell’s satisfaction.

The Franklin man later learned that the horse was sold to an Alabama woman and Siggins kept the $21,000 for himself.

He demanded his money back in 2012, but never received it.

In February, the Williamson County Grand Jury indicted Siggins. He turned himself into the Williamson County Jail Thursday where he is being held on $10,000 bond.
