Out-Of-Home Advertising Firm Secures New SEPTA Advertising Contract
PHILADELPHIA, April 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Titan has been awarded a new five-year contract, with two two-year options for the exclusive right to sell advertising on behalf of Philadelphia's Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) system. The contract was won competitively and means that Titan will continue to operate a contract it first secured in 2005.
The up to nine-year partnership commences on May 1, 2014 and is worth a minimum of $150 million to SEPTA over the lifetime of the agreement, including both option periods. SEPTA is the country's fifth largest transit system and serves 24 million passengers per month. SEPTA is one of only two transit authorities that operates all five major vehicle types: regional commuter trains, subway rapid transit, light rail trolleys, electric trolleys and buses. The diversity of vehicles allows Titan's local, regional and national clients a variety of ways to appeal to Philadelphia consumers.

With over 2,000 digital screens in its network and a strong reputation in delivering first to market mobile advertising solutions, it is no surprise that Titan has proposed a comprehensive technological build-out as part of the new contract. Titan hopes to build additional digital displays, adding to station platform and rail in-car displays the firm introduced during the previous contract. These digital displays will provide valuable train arrival information, news and weather and other content to the ridership. It will also generate incremental revenue for SEPTA through targeted advertising.
Titan has enjoyed success selling naming right sponsorships to major brands that want to leverage the influence SEPTA has with the community. The new deal allows Titan the opportunity to continue to find appropriate partners for SEPTA sponsorships.
