Woman rescued at Percy Priest Lake following altercation

A woman was rescued off a Percy Priest island after getting into an altercation with another woman. A woman was rescued off a Percy Priest island after getting into an altercation with another woman.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

One woman was taken to the hospital and another pepper-sprayed following an altercation while camping late Thursday night.

The incident took place on Pig Island at Percy Priest Lake around 11 p.m. Thursday night.

Police told News 2 that two women and a man where camping when one woman came on to the victim, the other woman.

The victim reported that she repeatedly dismissed the woman’s advances, leading to an altercation.

The victim pepper sprayed the woman before calling authorities for help. Firefighters came to remove her from the island at the Hamilton Creek Arena.

She was then transported to the hospital with minor injuries, such as scratches and scrapes, which she sustained in the altercation.

The woman who allegedly instigated the incident stayed on the island with the man.

Charges were not filed.
