Ronnie Milsap among Country Music Hall of Fame inductees

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Ronnie Milsap is among this year’s inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Hunter Hayes announced Milsap Tuesday morning as the inductee in the Modern Era category.

“Musically, lyrically it changed my perspective on a lot of different things and it opened up my world to a whole different slew of sounds that I had never been introduced to before,” Hayes explained of his musical hero Milsap’s music.

Milsap added, “It is absolutely the top honor of all. It's the highest award that can be given to an artist in Nashville.”

Mac Wiseman was announced by Country Music Hall of Fame member Jo Walker Meador as this year’s inductee in the Veteran category.

Hall of Fame member Bobby Bare announced the late Hank Cochran as the inductee for the Fame Songwriter category.
