NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Vanderbilt’s baseball team lost to Arkansas 3-1 in Sunday’s game.
Starting pitcher Tyler Ferguson gave up a bases load walk in the first inning, giving the Razorbacks the early lead.
Arkansas capitalized on the early advantage and strong pitching to beat the Commodores, clinching the weekend series.
Ferguson found himself in another jam in the 5th inning after hitting the lead off batter and walking the next.
The walk ended Ferguson’s afternoon. The Razorbacks scored again with a passed ball by Jason Delay and an RBI single from Brian Anderson.
The Vanderbilt offense left six runners on base over the final four innings of the game. The only Commodore run came in the 7th on a solo homerun from Bryan Renolds.
