NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Bruce Springsteen plays his first Nashville concert since 2009 at Bridgestone Arena Thursday night.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is consistently followed by die-hard fans that often travel around the country to see his performances.

Brogan Thompson traveled to Nashville from Seattle, Washington for Thursday's show, and said he's been following Springsteen's tour in Europe, even though he just discovered Springsteen's music about a year ago.

"Nine times I saw him in a month," exclaimed Thompson, sporting a Springsteen hat, jacket, buttons and old backstage passes.

"You see a concert on Saturday night and Sunday night, you think, you're just going to repeat the same thing? No, he'll do like 45 songs," he said, describing why a Springsteen concert is unlike those by other artists.

"In two weeks he did 10 concerts, he did 114 songs. Different. Nobody does that," said Thompson who'll stand for the entire three and a half hour to four hour show Thursday at the Bridgestone Arena.

Thursday night's concert is sold out.
