Celebrities serve at The Palm in Nashville for charity

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Celebrities and professional athletes took over The Palm restaurant in downtown Nashville as servers Tuesday night to help out a good cause.

Former Tennessee Titan and 14-year NFL veteran Kevin Carter hosted his 12th annual "Kevin Carter's Waiting for Wishes" Celebrity Waiters' Dinner.

The event benefits the Kevin Carter Foundation and Make-A-Wish of Middle Tennessee.

Celebrity waiters included Dierks Bentley, Dwayne Allen, Keith Anderson, Frankie Ballard, Bonnie Bernstein, Rob Bironas, Blaine Bishop, Jenn Brown, Chris Carmack, Gary Chapman, Cassie Chapman, Caroline Cutbirth, Tifffany Darwish, Richard Dent, Ric Flair, Chip Esten, Eddie George, Mike Goldberg, Scott Hamilton, Chris Young, Shad Hamilton, Brooke Hogan, Patricia Kara, Dustin Lynch, Eric Decker and Jessie James.

The event, which Carter co-hosts with Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus, has raised more than $1.2 million for charity.
