Cold front brings chilly temperatures to Middle Tennessee

Posted:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A sharp cold front sliding through the Nashville area and Middle Tennessee will bring cooler temperatures Tuesday.

Cold northwest winds will push temperatures down to the upper 30s east of Nashville by daybreak, though 10 to 25 mile-per-hour winds will make it feel much colder.

Snow flurries are a possibility east of Interstate 65 Tuesday as the last of the moisture moves out, though accumulation is not expected.

A freeze watch will go in effect Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as temperatures dip to the upper 20s.

Temperatures will rebound to the lower to upper 60s by Wednesday and Thursday.
