NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The suspect in an east Nashville pharmacy robbery was arrested Wednesday after he was found walking nearby shortly after the crime.

Police said Justin Conyers, 22, walked up the pharmacy counter in Rite Aid at 700 Gallatin Avenue with medicine in his hand like he intended to buy it.

When he approached the counter, Conyers allegedly went behind to the clerk and held a sharp object to his throat.

Conyers is accused of demanding money and fleeing on foot with at least $200 in cash.

Authorities used the store's surveillance to get an accurate description of the suspect then spotted him down the road near the intersection of Douglas and Trevecca avenues.

Police say he had a wad of cash on him.

Conyers was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

He was booked into the Metro jail on $100,000 bond.
