A group of men who opened fire in a drive-by shooting during the annual Mule Day celebration in Columbia in 2009 have been indicted.

Authorities said the shooting was gang-related, though the victim, Relland Stovall, was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.

"I heard bang, bang, bang, bang and that scared me to death," said the victim's twin brother, Rolland Stovall.

The two brothers had just returned church when the shots were fired, striking Relland Stovall in his home.  He later died from his injuries.

Many in the community knew the 36-year-old victim who worked at a local school.

"He was a very nice guy.  He didn't deserve to die.  He and his brother were always together.  He talked to everybody and was always trying to help someone, just a good guy," said Brenda Bumphus-Powell.

Court papers unsealed Tuesday named Avery Harwell, Deterines Cathey, Rickey Davis and Edward Claude in the deadly shooting.

The suspects face several charges including murder, weapons and racketeering.

According to an FBI spokesperson, Harwell was already in state custody and Davis was arrested Tuesday.

Cathey and Claude have not been caught.
