ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. -

An 82-year-old woman was not injured after crashing her car into an Ashland City home Tuesday.

It happened around 11 a.m. on Jefferson Street.

Doye Latimer told News 2 she lost control of her 1998 Dodge Stratus and was forced to decide whether to hit a tree or her neighbor's house.

"All of a sudden my car kept getting faster and faster. I was trying desperately to keep from hitting the tree, so I swerved and the next thing I knew, I was in my neighbor's kitchen in my car," she said.

Latimer's car and the home sustained major damage.

No injuries were reported.
