NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

An employee of the popular Corner Pub was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault for beating his coworker with bat.

The alleged incident happened last Tuesday, April 1 outside of the bar's Bellevue location on Highway 100.

The victim told police the assault began after he and 24-year-old Franklin Grant got into a dispute.

According to the police report, Grant left the restaurant but later returned and asked the victim to come out back several times via text message.

When the two were outside, a physical fight ensued during which Grant is accused of hitting the victim with a baseball bat several times.

The victim suffered a broken arm and bruised hip.

Grant was finally booked into the Metro jail Monday, but was released early Tuesday morning on $5,000 bond.
