NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man suspected of stealing at a downtown bar reportedly bit a security officer who was detaining him until police arrived.

The incident happened at Tequila Cowboy located on Broadway just after 3 a.m. Saturday.

The security officer reported a patron told him a man, later identified as 25-year-old Marcus Horton, took a wallet that didn't belong to him while inside the bar.

After calling police, the security guard detained Horton while awaiting their arrival.

Horton allegedly bit the man on his inner left thigh during the incident.

He was arrested and charged with assault and theft.  His bond was set at $4,000.
