A 2-year-old boy shot and killed his older sister in their Philadelphia home Sunday.
The toddler was playing with his siblings when his mother left the room to go to the bathroom.
While she was gone, the toddler picked up the loaded, cocked gun and pointed it in the direction of his 11-year-old sister, Jamara.
The weapon discharged and a bullet hit the girl's shoulder before stopping in her chest, reported USA Today.
Jamara was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she died about thirty minutes later.
Police believe the mother's boyfriend brought the gun to the house and stored it on top of a refrigerator.
The shooting is under investigation and no charges have been filed.
