Driver flees after hitting pedestrian in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville police are looking for the driver who struck an 18-year-old pedestrian Friday night and left the scene.

Responding officers found the victim, Dashawna Saunders, lying unresponsive on Tiny Town Road near Twelve Oaks Blvd just before 10 p.m.

Saunders was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where she was listed in stable condition. Police said she is expected to recover.
 
Saundershit was hit by a dark-colored van or SUV with heavy front-end damage.
