CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A Clarksville man who hung a dead horse from a tree has to give up three of his other animals.

Timothy Decent, 62, made the decision in a court appearance Saturday morning.

He was arrested at his home in the 2400 block of Whitfield Road last month after officers responded to the property amid reports of a hanging foal.

Authorities also said there was no food for three other horses on the property.

According to the Volunteer Equine Advocates, those animals are now in their custody.

They also said the mare that was found in poor condition is gaining weight and making progress.
