Music City Center holds events for NCAA Final Four

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Several events were held in downtown Nashville Saturday as the city gets ready for the NCAA Women's Final Four.

There was a Final 4Kay run and a Tourney Town in the Music Center where visitors could watch a Battle of the Bands competition, concerts and a pep rally, among other things.

One of the runners in the Final 4Kay, which benefited the Kay Yow Cancer Research Fund, talked to News 2 about his unique running technique.

"I was racing with a tight little thing like this without much arm swing," said Vic Victory. "As I kept running I swung a little more, and then I start to stride. I walked up the hill, that was a fast walk, which the women were impressed with, I must say."

Victory's running style did not make him go any faster. However, he said he was happy to help raise money for a good cause and support his favorite sport.

"I think I brought a few smiles to a few faces," Victory said.

Tourney Town is free to the public and is open until Tuesday.

The NCAA Women's Final Four game starts Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
