One man was injured in a west Nashville house fire early Thursday morning.
Crews responded to a home in the 6000 block of Deal Avenue, not far from the Cumberland River, around 5 a.m. to heavy flames in the back of the house.
A father and his son were inside at the time. The father sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Thomas Midtown for treatment.
While inside the home, firefighters found items that caused them concern and called Metro police to the scene.
Officers questioned the son and his brother, who had come to the home. The brother was found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested without incident.
Police deemed that the items in question were not of concern. What exactly the firefighters found was not released.
The scene was cleared by 6:30 a.m.
