TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo posted a new video Tuesday afternoon of a rescued Florida panther kitten exploring his surroundings.

The video on the zoo's Facebook page shows the kitten walking, running, and sneaking around, as the staff explain how his rehabilitation is going. The kitten was found in the Naples area, abandoned by his mother when he was only a week old.

The kitten will soon be sent to his permanent home at the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park.
