LAKE CITY, Tenn. -

Plans to name an east Tennessee city "Rocky Top" will take a step forward Monday with a vote in the Tennessee General Assembly.

Lake City, located about 180 miles east of Nashville, is a coal-mining town looking for a tourist bump.

Town leaders came up with the idea of renaming the city Rocky Top in last November to bring more an interest to visitors.

"Rocky Top" is the name of a well-known bluegrass standard recorded by Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, and several other big names.  It's also the staple at University of Tennessee-Knoxville sporting events.

The House is expected to vote on the name-change bill Monday, even though the name change might not happen any time soon.

Authors of the song have also filed a federal lawsuit to stop the name change.
