NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The owner of a popular barbeque restaurant is hopeful surveillance video will lead to an arrest after his business was vandalized.

Peg Leg owner Carey Bringle said he was alerted of the crime, which occurred overnight, first thing Tuesday morning.

A security camera clearly captured the suspect breaking into a shed on the restaurant's property and spray painting expletives on the door and even pulling a chainsaw out of the shed.

"[He] worked hard to break into our shed [and] tried to break into our restaurant," Bringle said.  "We're just thankful they didn't get into the restaurant."

While a motive to the crime has not been determined, Bringle said he believes the man may have been intoxicated at the time.

"[It] seems like a random person. [It] looked like they were intoxicated or something," he said.

Bringle said he is continuing to work closely with police and hopes the man will be caught.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
