NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Citizen tips led police to the arrest of two convicted felons Monday suspected in three recent home burglaries.
Jonathan Corke and Darius Cox were arrested just before Noon after a citizen reported seeing an old silver Chevrolet Malibu driving in a cul-de-sac on Applejack Court. The citizen reported the car initially had two occupants inside, but returned a short time later with only one.
Around the same time as police received the first call, a second person called to report a suspicious man walking onto a neighbor's back porch on Applejack Court.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the home's back door had been forced open and property from inside the residence had been placed by the door.
Corke, 25, was taken into police custody following a short foot pursuit. Cox, 26, was identified as the man driving the Malibu. He was also taken into custody.
In addition to Monday's burglary, the pair are suspected in a home burglary in the 800 block of Wilson Boulevard and the 3900 block of Woodlawn Boulevard.
At the time of his arrest, Cox was free on a $21,000 bond for a recent drug-related arrest.
Corke was also out on bond for an alleged burglary that occurred last October.
