LEBANON, Tenn. -

A man in Lebanon was killed after his motorcycle ran into a power transformer Friday afternoon.

The Wilson Emergency Management Agency told News 2 the accident took place at 4:30 p.m. on Business Pike Drive near Highway 109.

A 51-year-old man was riding a Suzuki Hyabusa motorcycle when he ran off the road and struck a power transformer, which caught on fire.

The victim suffered severe head and facial trauma.

An off duty Metro paramedic performed CPR on the victim, but he died at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
