Corrections officer accused of misusing county information

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a corrections officer in Trousdale County for misuse of information Friday night.

Authorities stated they began an investigation into 43-year-old Donna Marshall in early February after allegations of the misuse of county resources arose.

The investigation revealed that on January 17 Marshall gained someone's information from their driver record and allegedly used in an attempt to coerce them to participate in tax fraud.

The scheme reportedly would have benefited Marshall financially.

She was arrested Friday and charged with one count of misuse of official information.

Marshall is being held at the Trousdale County jail on $500 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
