Clarksville police search for man behind attempted bank robbery

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Clarksville police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a Regions Bank Friday afternoon.

Authorities responded to an alarm at the bank on 128th North Second Street at 12:24 p.m.

According to a press release, the suspect held up a note to a bank employee that read, "Give me all the money."

The man then fled on foot before authorities arrived.

He did not take any money.

Clarksville police used a canine to track the suspect, but he was not located.

The suspect is described as a dark complexion black male, who ranges in height from 5'10" to 6'  with an average build.

He was wearing a red baseball cap, with a blue sweatshirt or sweater and light blue pants, possibly jeans.
