A man pulled over on Dickerson Pike Thursday turned out to be a suspected home burglar.

David Burton, 57, had an outstanding felony warrant for larceny in Franklin, Tenn.

Police reported that when Burton was asked to exit his Jeep, a glass pipe fell from his pants.  Several bottles of prescription pills were also found inside his vehicle.

Officers called the resident of the address listed on the prescription bottle, a home on Bagwell Road, and learned his home had been burglarized.

According to a release, other items believed to have been taken during various burglaries were also located inside the car.

Burton was charged with aggravated burglary and booked into the Metro jail.  He is being held on $10,000 bond.

Police stated he had previous convictions for aggravated burglary, armed robbery, theft, evading arrest and cocaine possession.

An investigation into other possible burglaries connected to Burton is ongoing.
