NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police have arrested the woman who allegedly sold a car with a fake title to a Dickson County woman last week.

Jaqawuana Broyles, 37, was booked into the Metro jail on charges of theft of property over $1,000 and hindering a secured creditor late Tuesday afternoon.

Amanda Dixon purchased the vehicle, a 2008 Dodge, from Broyles for $6,000 and two days later the car was repossessed.

According to police, the car had a lien and the dealership, Madison Imports, was still the owner.

Broyles is now out of jail on bond.

The investigation is ongoing.

Broyles does have a prior arrest history and police believe she may have taken Dixon's $6,000 and purchased another vehicle from another person.
