A man and woman were arrested in a prostitution sting Monday at a hotel near the Nashville airport.
Police reported they conducted the undercover sting by responding to an ad on Backpage.com and agreeing to a deal for sex for $260.
The meeting was arranged at the Nashville Airport Inn and Suites on Atrium Way and was to last 30 minutes.
Once the undercover detective arrived, he was met by Christina Pohl, 29, and confirmed the arrangement for sex.
More authorities entered the room and 35-year-old Cedric Dixon emerged from the closet. Officers learned he would stay in the room during Pohl's meetings for protection.
According to an arrest affidavit, Pohl admitted she had been prostituting for six months in both Nashville and Little Rock, Ark. She explained Dixon would keep all of the money she made to purchase her food and hotel rooms.
Police stated they also found one gram of crack cocaine and five and a half grams of marijuana underneath a pillow, as well as a crack pipe in Pohl's purse.
Both suspects were arrested on prostitution and drug charges and booked into the Metro jail.
Dixon faces an additional charge of being a fugitive from justice.
