Preds score 3rd straight win

Posted: Updated:

After losing four in a row at home, fans may have thought the Predators season was over, but three straight wins on the road put them back in the playoff hunt after beating the Blackhawks 3-2 Friday night.

The Preds took a 2-0 lead in the opening period behind goals from Mike Fisher (17) and Patric Hornqvist (13).

The game was tight in the second before Ryan Ellis scored on a breakaway to give Nashville a 3-1 lead and the eventual win.

Roman Josi recorded a career high three assists and was all over the ice at critical spots for the Preds.

The Predators hope to extend their winning streak Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena against the St. Louis Blues.
