Man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. -

A man's leg was amputated during a motorcycle crash in Cheatham County Thursday night.

The Leaf Chronicle reports the victim's Suzuki 1000 somehow left the roadway and struck a street sign on Highway 12 in Ashland City.

The motorcycle then overturned multiple times.

One of his legs appeared to be amputated after striking the sign post.

He was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center via LifeFlight.  His condition was not immediately known.
