NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

On the first day of NFL free agency, Alterraun Verner cashed in on his first Pro Bowl season.

The former Titans cornerback agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Bucs on a four-year deal reportedly worth $26.5 million, with $14 million of that guaranteed.

"I expect us to do big things… I'm hopefully going to help turn that team around," Verner told News 2.

Verner picked off five passes in what was a breakout season with the Titans.

He was one of the hotter names headed into free agency and had his name connected with the Patriots, Broncos, Jets, Vikings, Rams, Bucs and yes, the Titans.

Tennessee General Manger Ruston Webster had mentioned they were interested in keeping Verner, but ultimately the price he landed on the open market proved to be too high.
