The free agent signing period began at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and the Tennessee Titans struck quickly, landing a pair of players.
Reports are the team signed wide receiver/return man Dexter McCluster to a three-year deal worth $12 million, with $4.5 million guaranteed.
McCluster spent his first four NFL seasons in Kansas City and has caught at least 46 passes the last three seasons.
McCluster has also spent time at running back and could be a prototypical third down back for the Titans and makes the release of Chris Johnson look even more inevitable. He was drafted in the second round out of Ole Miss in 2010.
The Titans also are bringing back kick returner Leon Washington.
He was signed by the team the second half of last season and really solidified the return game. He tweeted just after the signing period began he's returning to the Music City.
As of 3:30 p.m, Alterraun Verner remained unsigned.
