NUNNELLY, Tenn. -

A Hickman County fire that claimed the lives of an elderly couple has been ruled accidental.

The deadly fire broke out at R.T. and Ruby Rivers' home located in the 5000 block of Dodd Hollow Road in Nunnelly, about 15 minutes north of Centerville, during the early morning hours of January 31.

Authorities initially investigated the fire as a homicide after an arson dog keyed in on what was thought to be an accelerant.

Investigators, however, say the fire is believed to have been electrical in nature.

The Rivers' owned a big factory that caught fire in Hickman County in December, forcing residents to be evacuated from their homes.
