NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Mid-State woman paralyzed when a tornado destroyed her home in 2006 will appear on ABC's "The Doctors" Tuesday.

Amy Hawkins was at her Hendersonville home with her two sons when a tornado ripped through their home.

Hawkins shielded her children as debris came crashing down on her back, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down.

After the devastating tornado, Hawkins and her family received a new home built by ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

You can watch Hawkins story Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. on "The Doctors" on News 2.
