The free agent signing period starts Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner goes in one of the NFL's hottest commodities.

Verner told News 2 he's keeping all of his options open and that includes a return to the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans drafted Verner in the fourth round of the 2010 draft out of UCLA.  He had a breakout season in 2013 with a career high five interceptions and a first selection ever to the NFL Pro Bowl.

The Titans stressed they would like to bring Verner back, but with cornerback Jason McCourty already making $8-million per season, it could be very difficult to bring in another player at the same position at a similar price.

The California native said he does not have his sights set on a return to the West Coast, he did imply joining an organization with the opportunity to win big was among his highest priorities.

Teams were allowed to start contacting players and agents over the weekend and Verner has been linked to a number of teams including the Patriots, Vikings, Jets and the Rams with former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher.

Fisher was the head coach when Verner was originally drafted.  The Rams have also been clearing cap as they prepare for free agency.  They cleared $10-milllion by cutting former Titan Cortland Finnegan.
