Tucson, Ariz. -

Laura Toone was taking a walk when a dog she was fostering attacked one of her own dogs. The dog nearly bit off one of her fingers as she struggled to break up the fight, ABC News reported.

Lucky for Toone, her two-year-old son, Bentley's technological expertise saved the day.

Toone told ABC News Friday from her home in Tucson, Arizona, "I begged my daughters to call 911 and they're four and they were quite afraid to even touch the phone because it was covered in my own blood."

Bentley came from the kitchen with a dish towel, wiped the blood from the phone and proceeded to call Toone's friend, Connie Guerrero, on Facetime.

Bentley is adept with the iPhone because he is a big fan of playing with the phone. He has been known to make his fair share of prank calls, which is the reason that some of his mother's friends may be discouraged from answering.

"Something inside of me just told me that I needed to answer this FaceTime. All I could see was his little forehead and I said, 'Hi, Bentley,' and it was quiet for a little bit, and then I hear Laura screaming," Guerrero said.

Guerrero called 911, and Bentley unlocked the door for the responding firefighters.
