NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A former firefighter was taken into custody in Hendersonville late Monday after he allegedly burglarized a fire hall earlier in the day.

According to police, Randall Soulliere attempted to steal a TV from Fire Station 12 located on Polk Avenue just after 3 a.m.

The 43-year-old dropped the television after being located inside the building. He fled in his silver Dodge Caliber that bore firefighter tags.

He resigned from the fire department last week, police said.

Soulliere was arrested in Hendersonville after abandoning his vehicle and fleeing on foot from east Nashville.

Souliliere was arrested last month on drug charges.
