NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The drowning of a man whose body was found at Elm Hill Marina in Nashville Saturday morning appears to be accidental.

Metro police said the victim, Mark Sherrill, 56, of Smyrna, had a houseboat at the marina.

He reportedly left his boat Friday night to go hear live music.

While walking, police said he apparently fell down a steep embankment, approximately 20 feet, into the water.

His body was found just after 8:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

There was no evidence of foul play.

The medical examiner will determine his cause of death.
