ONEONTA, Ala. (AP) - An ex-high school teacher has pleaded guilty to sending explicit text messages to a 15-year-old student.

AL.com reports 32-year-old Crystal Gilliland Clowdus pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to transmitting obscene material to a minor.

Clowdus was given a 10-year suspended sentence.  She'll serve six months in a county correctional facility followed by six months of house arrest.

Clowdus has been ordered spend five years on probation after that.

Investigators have said a teenage boy told them Clowdus sent him nude and partially nude photos, and asked if he'd like to have sex with her.

Clowdus taught at Susan Moore High School.

A harassment and sexual abuse trial against a second teacher at the school is scheduled to begin March 17.
