DICKSON, Tenn. -

Nearly 9,000 customers remained without electricity in Dickson, Cheatham and Hickman counties Monday evening after ice during the early morning hours caused tree limbs to snap, knocking out power.

As many as 12,000 Dickson Electric customers were without power at the height of the storm.

The company says it will have 20 crews out working late into the evening to restore power, but it could be a few days before all the lights are back on.
