Two Franklin businesses were busted for serving alcohol to minors Friday night.
Police reported employees at both TGI Friday's on Cool Springs Boulevard and Mickey Roos on Hillsboro Road are now charged with a class A misdemeanor.
An underage informant working with authorities went to 14 different businesses in Franklin. Twelve of those businesses denied the informant alcohol.
Employees at TGI Fridays and Mickey Roos, however, did not.
Owners of each business now face civil penalties, including fines and possibly losing their permits.
"Our obligation to ensure that they're acting responsibly is one that we take very seriously," said Franklin Police Chief David Rahinsky.
Officials noted that businesses in Franklin that sell or serve alcohol should expect compliance checks to continue.
