NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald are teeming up with some of country's biggest stars for a new album.

The album will feature all-new recordings of the Doobie Brothers' biggest hits.

According to a release, stars such as Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band and Sara Evans are all set to collaborate with the classic rock band, among several others.

The album reportedly came about organically with the country artists picked their favorite Doobie Brother tracks then recording them with the band.

It is due sometime later this year.

The Doobie Brothers formed in 1969 and attained radio and chart-topping success throughout the early 70s.
