Two vehicles collided in Nashville Friday morning, not far from Father Ryan High School, injuring two young girls.Officials on the scene told News 2 an SUV and sedan hit each other around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Southmead Parkway and Franklin Pike.Police said the SUV was attempting to turn left on Southmead Parkway when it collided with the sedan.Three people were inside the sedan at the time of the crash, an adult male and two juvenile females.Both young girls were injured, one with head injuries and the other with a broken leg, and were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Their injuries are considered non-critical.Neither driver suffered injuries in the accident.
One inbound lane is closed as officials remain on the scene.
