MADISONVILLE (WATE) - A Monroe County man is accused of carjacking a woman and crashing the vehicle into a house only moments after being released from jail on an unrelated charge.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says Jeremy Joseph Moore was arrested Sunday for making a non-emergency 911 call.
He was released on bond Monday morning.
Deputies say he was waiting in front of the sheriff's office for a ride home when he entered a vehicle occupied by a female, whom Moore told to get out of the car.
The woman sustained minor injuries during her exit.
Moore then drove away in the vehicle, crashing it about 10 minutes later into a home on Oklahoma Street in Madisonville.
Moore was then arrested again and taken to the Monroe County jail.
