Man crashes into Salvation Army after being shot

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are investigating a shooting in east Nashville that left one man dead.

The incident happened at 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Grace Street near Dickerson Road. 

Police first responded to the incident when they heard about a car crashing into the Salvation Army. However, when authorities arrived to the scene, they found Gregory Johnson, 26, slumped over the wheel with a gunshot wound.

Johnson was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police told Nashville's News 2 they are searching for suspects, but they have yet to release a suspect description.
