CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A Clarksville man was cited Thursday after police discovered a large amount of weapons, including a gun, inside his vehicle.

Police made contact with Daniel Slusher in the 300 block of Pageant Lane, in a parking lot behind the public library around 9:30 p.m.

Slusher, who was wearing all black and a tactical vest, told officers he was trying to get a job with a bonding company and was waiting on them.

Upon giving officers his driver's license and carry permit, it was discovered his permit had expired in September.

Police discovered six knives, handcuffs, two collapsible batons and a .45 caliber handgun in his vehicle, as well as other weapons and ammunition.

He was cited for unlawful carry, possession of a weapon and prohibited weapons.
